According to China.org.cn,
Huang Chengqing said they possessed mountains of data in case they ever
wanted to accuse the US of launching cyberattacks against the country.
However, China believes that making accusations would not solve any
problems.
CNCERT says it has cooperated with the US in solving hacking cases.
The agency reports solving most of the 32 cases received from the US in
the first quarter of 2013.
Huang has not denied the recent reports according to which China stole the designs for over two dozen US weapon systems.
Instead, the official said the US should not make such classified information accessible via the Internet in the first place.
A report from CNCERT shows that between January 1 and May 31, over
4,000 servers based in the US were used to compromise 2.91 million
mainframe computers from China.
